The Cricket Club of Virginia Tech (CCVT), a registered non-profit organization, was established in the summer of 1996 at the Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, Blacksburg, VA. This club was formed to provide an opportunity to cricket lovers to have fun playing, watching, and being a part of this game. The mission of the club is to continue doing this successfully in the seasons to come. CCVT is grateful to the Department of Recreational Sports for allowing to use their facilities for playing. CCVT is part of the Mid-Atlantic Cricket Conference (MACC) which comprises of teams from Virginia and North Carolina. The MACC season starts in March and concludes in late September. CCVT plays an average of fourteen regular season matches, before the playoffs. Practice sessions and warm up matches are scheduled in the regular season to keep the spirit of the game alive at Virginia Tech. |
